Splash-tastic Kayaking
On the 13th of February Room 22 at Summerland Primary went to Camp Bentzon!!! We went with four other classes from Summerland Primary.
One of the great activities was Kayaking it was tough work because we had to push the tough water to the other island!
The funniest part was when we played slash-tag. The instructions were that you had to Kayak around the ocean and when you saw someone you were to grab your paddle and splash the person, then they were it (the next tagger).
Then Alfred tipped his Kayak over and that was in the middle of the ocean. Erin our instructor had to help him back over.
It was my most favourite part of Camp!!!!

Challenging Kayaking
My favourite activity at camp was KAYAKING!
Kayaking was really awesome because we got to do it for a really long time. You may think that it was nice and sunny, but it was the opposite. It was raining, windy and cold the whole time. But we still went on. I found it really hard because of the rain but I still was able to manage it. So for me kayaking was challenging but also fun!

Spooky Burma- Trail
On February the 13th 2012, 4 classes from Summerland Primary School went all the way to the
extraordinary Camp Bentzon!
How we got there? Well it took half an hour to get there by bus and another half an hour on the Fairy. We got there “Yay!” I said.
Every single night we would do some games, and my
favourite I’ve been waiting for forever was The Spooky Burma-Trail!!! The night has come.
So first we all met in the Recreation Room. The teachers gave us instructions by saying “We first decide what we want to do like Spotlight, A movie Called Shrek or The Burma Trail.” Nearly every one chose the Burma-Trail.
Then what we had to do was get into
5-6 groups. Then we waited near the swinging ropes for my group to be picked. Another 5 minutes later we got called up.“Yes!” My group all says. Then we walked up these hills and sat on this REALLY BIG log and Mr Attridge told us this spooky story about this old man, who was walking up these woods and tripped over and his hand fell off and is creeping around the woods grabbing our legs tonight. It made every one start to cry and we were shaking with fear.
However Stephanie in the Burma Trail was at the front with
no fear at all and also saying “come on, you can do it!”
There was this really scary point when Steve (a parent) was
really scary because he did a trick, he put a light and people were touching it and then he would use his flashlight
and shine it at his face and say “LEAVE MY LIGHT ALONE!”
While other teachers and parents would be grabbing our legs to make us trip and some were touching our hair.
I can’t believe I made it to the end, “We made it!” Stephanie said. That was the best camp activity ever!!!
