Maui Suns

After reading the Māori legend ‘Maui and the Sun’, with illustrations by Cliff Whiting, we drew our own sun based on the legend.  We looked carefully at the illustrations and other examples of Māori arts and patterns and included them in our own design.  When we were happy with our design we used warm coloured dye and black vivid to complete our artwork.
