E.O.T.C Survival Day
On Monday 23 of March, rooms 4,14, 8 and 16 went on their survival day on the field at Summerland primary school. We done lots of activities that were very very fun. The challenges we played were cooking when we made bread and cooked sausages, putting up tents, building a shelter then the adults threw a bucket of water on the shelter and we got soaked if we did not build it right. We also learnt the correct way to use the first aid kit. We also did an activity which was the stretcher, is when you build a stretcher to carry someone to the end of the obstacle course but ...
the two people had to carry one person and one of the two people who are carrying someone has two be blind folded.
Adults were good help which made it much more fun.
The last activity was when we pretended to be stranded on an island and we had to create something that would be noisy, attractive to get rescued by a boat BUT... They had an injured person and only one person could speak and they did not realize that there was another team on a different island next door BUT... there was 18 and the boat could only take 9 so the most attractive and noisy team would get picked up by the boat.
Our favourite bit was eating the sausages because we would never be able able to do it that much at school.
The bit we did not like was carrying the stretcher and being dropped when you were in the stretcher.
Everyone had a good time even the teachers.
