Floating Drops
The aim of this experiment was to make drops of oil sink and rise again.
This was a fun experiment where we tried to mix oil and water. But we soon realised that oil forms a separate layers above the water because it is lighter or less dense. Basically oil and water do not mix! The salt is then added and it sinks down to the water because it is denser than both of them.
This was so exciting to watch as the salt went in and sunk to the bottom layer to the water and dissolved.
