The children in Room 11 are feeling comfortable in their classroom and are interacting well in groups and pairs. We have been practising greeting each other in different languages to celebrate the cultural diversity amongst us. Most of our students seem to have all their stationery by now..Thankk you to the familiies that have been prompt with this..if you child still needs a few more things, please organise these by the end of this week. This week, we are doing Maths, Spelling , Reading and writing assessments for setting up our Learning groups and Levels. Our Topic work is based on the Cool Schools Programme and we are talking about feelings, group work, cooperation, rights and responsibilities. Our LIBRARY day is Thursday and your child needs a library bag to take out books. A book bag is also essential for issuing of class reading books. This Friday Rooms 9, 10, 11 and 12 will be having lunch together and going for a walk in the Hillwell Reserve as a part of our team building activities. Sensible walking shoes would be great for all feet! HELP! HELP! HELP! WE URGENTLY NEED A BOX OF DR. SEUSS BOOKS FOR OUT CHUNK, CHECK CHEER PROGRAMME. If you have any spare Dr. Seuss books sitting at home, please label them and donate them to the class for the year. They will be returned to you at the end of 2006. DONATION OF ANY OTHER POETRY OR STORY BOOKS AND SCRAP PAPER WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED. Looking forward to another great week! Regards RHEA ANGLESEY
